PhD

I was born in Italy but spent much of my childhood in various countries across South America. These experiences gave me a deep appreciation for different cultures and perspectives on life. In 2008, I moved to the UK to continue my studies in health psychology and I’ve been based here ever since.

I am a psychological researcher with over 15 years of experience working across both public and private sectors. I’m passionate about translating clinical knowledge and scientific evidence into effective, safe, engaging and personalised digital interventions for people living with long-term conditions.

Over a decade ago, I developed a special interest in chronic digestive conditions and not long after, I experienced a persistent gastric issue myself. This personal experience has deepened my empathy and connection with the patients who use the programmes I help create.

My academic training equipped me with expertise in a range of research methodologies to design, evaluate and enhance digital interventions in an iterative, patient-centred way. My industry experience has taught me to take a pragmatic approach to solving complex challenges in real-world settings. I enjoy working closely with multidisciplinary teams and patients to ensure the solutions we deliver meet their needs and are user-friendly.

Currently, I serve as a scientific advisor to health tech companies and take on fractional leadership roles such as Head of Clinical Science and Head of Clinical Research. I also provide research consultancy services to a diverse range of clients, including startups, established companies, and charities.
